Over 350 enthusiastic ACL users flocked to Atlanta for the annual ACL Connections conference. The venue was fantastic and the southern hospitality warm as always. The attendees were not to be disappointed as the conference packed in many sessions from the latest news on product releases, technical coaching and training through to keynote speeches from quite comical compliance lawyers! Main product news was around the release of version 10 of ACL Analytics and ACL GRC both of which are covered in the newsletter
The news of these releases was certainly well received by the attendees. While attending one of the main sessions I noticed that one of the other people sat on my table had a pass for another conference also running in the hotel at the same time as the ACL one. Maybe his conference was a bit dull and he fancied a change!
One thing that struck me while I chatted to the mainly North American attendees was the volume of analytics that have been implemented in AX. My first conversation was with a user who said that his company was presently running 200 analytics in AX. By the end of the conference I think the record was 500! Amazing stuff really, they seem to be trying to out doing each other in North America. On the final day we had the ACL Impact awards which rewards innovation from users of the ACL software. I’m pretty confident we can get a winner from the UK next year so don’t be shy and go for it!
