As part of ACL’s strategic expansion into global markets, the company today announced that Promens, a leading global plastics manufacturer, headquartered in Iceland with factories in 19 countries around the world, has selected ACL™ GRC, which will enable an end-to-end, integrated, and systematic approach to audits across the business.
Operating in Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa, Promens manufactures a wide range of products, including packaging for food, cosmetics, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Given the wide range of products provided by the company, the span of industries served, and its global footprint, the audit team was in need of a simple and straightforward system to streamline the audit process.
Prior to choosing ACL’s cloud-based governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) software, the team was working with various processing documents and spreadsheets, which created a high volume of unnecessary manual efforts. Recognizing the inefficiencies, and in order to eliminate manual processes, the team’s leader made the decision to implement ACL GRC through ACL’s channel partner Bizcon in Denmark.
The key features that played a role in the decision were simplicity, ease of use, pain-free implementation, and cost effectiveness. In addition, the team will be able to retain an overview of documentation to guide members through the audit process.
“The secure, web-based cloud system is straightforward and provides access for all members within our global audit team,” said Johanna María Einarsdóttir, Director of Internal Audit at Promens. “It’s important for us to have the flexibility to begin on a small level, but the scalability of the system will allow us to easily cover all of the complex needs of our global audit group.”
“We’re seeing many auditors having to work around various types of documents and spreadsheets, which leads to a cumbersome and inefficient system,” said Vasu Desikachary, VP Worldwide Channel Sales at ACL. “This intuitive, cloud-based audit management solution will allow the global audit team at Promens to take a more organized and effective approach.”
