DataConsulting has recently signed a co-source agreement with a leading UK-based global insurer to support their computer assisted audit programme.

Our first foray into this area is the development of assurance models which can provide comfort over the management reporting of new business - an area that has been difficult to test substantively in the past.

Working closely with their internal audit department we have advised on data requirements, scope, approach and timescales. Despite the hurdles of obtaining data, significant progress has been made and we hope to deliver the CAATs in the new year.

The internal audit department recognises the value of our offerings and will work closely with us in the future.
