My name is Sam and I recently graduated from the University of Leeds with a PhD in Chemistry, having previously undertaken my undergraduate studies also in Leeds. I moved to Leeds from Lancaster almost 8 years ago and now starting work at DataConsulting in Wakefield I am making the switch across the Pennines permanent!
I spend most of my free time following sport – I am an avid Liverpool fan, I live and breathe most things KOP. Despite being so passionate about football I have never really played until joining DataConsulting. If I am not cheering on Liverpool you might find me treading water in the pool, swimming and playing WaterPolo (I’ve picked up more knocks playing football over the last 4 weeks than I have over 12 years of Polo). I also enjoy watching F1, Tennis, Cricket and Rugby. Away from sport I enjoy relaxing with friends, eating out and cooking. I enjoy travelling, in particular exploring European cities.
I am looking forward to working at DataConsulting, as it will give the opportunity to learn loads of new skills whilst getting the opportunity to gain some hands-on experience, working closely with a relatively small team and with clients, from the beginning.
