How have we coped during the Covid crisis?

Like many businesses across the World right now, Covid-19 has had a significant impact us. However we are nothing if not stoic so we ‘pushed the button’ on the disaster recovery plan and have continued to work hard.

Trying to keep things ‘business as usual’ as much as possible is a challenge with us all working from home but we continue to have daily calls in order to catch up on current projects and support each other where we can during this difficult time. We’ve also taken this as an opportunity to focus on areas where we can improve our services and tailor them to a new world of virtual working as well as our quizzing techniques and abilities!

So what’s changed? – well we’re now in a position to be able to deliver ALL of our training programmes virtually, we’ve increased the number of clients we work with under our OnDemand subscription model, we’ve completed and won a number of tenders in order to supply data analytics consultancy services to public sector organisations and we’ve also won an opportunity to advertise in the Daily Mail and Metro newspapers!

Likewise, we continue to encourage those involved in data analytics to think outside the box – this unprecedented period brings massive challenges and analytics can really play a significant role in providing invaluable insight into areas such as finance and fraud.

The advice we have been giving to our clients and contacts is to: –

  • Get a handle on your data once and for all. Understand what is happening inside your business and make sure any potential loopholes are flagged and plugged
  • Spread the word and involve more colleagues to increase the scope and awareness of your analytics
  • Look at any tests you may have that are compromised
  • Consider whether your results and output are clear and obvious to those reviewing
  • Ask more questions of yourself. Is what you are currently doing enough to safeguard your operations? For more details, see Quick wins with data analytics

…and, above all, ask for help!

So, if you need any kind of support with your analytics during this period, just ask. We are here to help and want you to be successful, therefore please ask if you are feeling overwhelmed or are just in need of some pointers! enquiries@dataconsulting.co.uk
