As the demand for Data Analytics continues to grow, we have made the decision to expand our team here at DataConsulting, therefore, without further ado, we welcome Greg Watts:-
Hi! I’m Greg, I am from the West Midlands having been born and raised near the town of Walsall. I was generally a quiet, anxious kid with a knack for anything numbers related. That all changed when I went to the University of Nottingham to study Physics. During my 4 years there I really came out of my shell and became far more confident and talkative.
Graduating in 2020, I found myself leaving University during the COVID-19 pandemic, so jobs were not easy to come by. As a result, I settled into a job in a fast-food restaurant to make some money while I applied for a more long-term career. My time there, albeit stressful and sometimes exhausting, was incredibly rewarding, and allowed me to become even more confident and get used to a real workplace environment.
I consider myself to be quite a competitive person, always striving to do the best I possibly can even in a casual setting. However, I am more than used to bitter disappointment after a lifetime of supporting Wolverhampton Wanderers. Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym to stay in shape and play football on as many weekends as I can. I also enjoy watching a wide variety of sports.
While I was working at my previous job, I was constantly keeping my eyes open for job openings in the hope of securing a more permanent job, and that is when I came across DataConsulting. The idea of working as a part of a small, close-knit team appealed to me greatly and I felt I fit their profile as someone with a passion for learning new skills and a real knack for picking up new ideas. My experience of data analysis so far has interested me a lot, so I am very much looking forward to getting stuck in and helping DataConsulting continue to grow.
