Welcome to the slightly late November edition of the DataConsulting newsletter.
DataConsulting is the ACL channel partner with responsibility for providing ACL software and services in the UK. We produce this newsletter to help you keep abreast of all things ACL. It’s been a bit hectic in the office this month hence the slight delay. Nonetheless we’ve crammed plenty into the newsletter and we hope it proves to be of use.
November saw the new ACL website go live so please check it out if you haven’t already done so. DataConsulting have assumed responsibility of UK ACL training and we’re pleased to announce our schedule for the early part of next year. The London user group is likely to reconvene in January or February of next year, we’ll let you know when the date is confirmed.
It was great to see so many of you at the recent ACL Business Assurance event in London, which was a great opportunity to hear about how Diageo has approached its data analytics using ACL. Finally, November saw a new add-in for ACL Desktop called Importer which will make it easier to import those tricky PDF and report files.
We’ll be doing a Christmas special in December but in the meantime enjoy your Christmas does – hope the hangovers aren’t too bad!
Kind regards,
Robin

During the latter part of 2012 and early part of 2013 ACL is freshening up its brand image and a new look website is the first step of this process. If you haven’t already done so take some time to check it out at the usual address of www.acl.com.
The next ACL London User Group is be held in January or February 2013. E&Y have kindly agreed to host the event. Sessions will include looking at analytics from an external audit perspective (delivered by E&Y) and a closer look at the fuzzy matching introduced in the recent 9.3 release of ACL Desktop (delivered by DataConsulting).
The world’s most famous ACL user tells us about his favorite ACL Desktop commands and why he’s so excited about the new Fuzzy Duplicates feature.
November saw the latest release of the James Bond movies with Skyfall so in coffee corner we thought we’d test your knowledge of the 007 movies.
