2011-07-01
Welcome to our July newsletter. I hope this newsletter finds you enjoying the summer sunshine and hopefully looking forward to a week or two away from the office. It’s been a busy period with lots of conferences being run around the globe including the international internal auditors conference which has been a big success over in Kuala Lumpur. One of the hot topics of discussion at the conference was the area of Continuous Auditing.
For this month of July we are offering a 10% discount on all ACL software products. Being a Yorkshireman this doesn’t happen very often so please make the most of it! A number of our clients have already benefited from this, so don’t miss out.
Best regards,
Robin Clough

Data Analytics not being used effectively
Blogger Tom van der Spek claims that “the need to make greater use of automated fraud detection and data analytics is clearer than ever in his discussion on insurance fraud. He explains that an effective approach to fraud asks for integral planning where organizational structure, business processes and applied data analytics meet.”

Poor data quality leads to payment errors
An increasing interest in Business Analytics shows an awareness of making business decisions based on facts, not opinions. But scratching the surface of your data can often uncover data quality issues, says Peter Millar of ACL Services.
