Recent success at a large Telecommunications company saw our consultants commissioned to write complex revenue assurance models. Developing in SQL Server 2008, our consultants developed a number of procedures that would process more than 250 million call detail records (CDR) per month. Seeking assurance that invoices from their Mobile Network Operator were complete and accurate, our client sought the re-application of agreed billing tariffs to their Wholesale and Retail data. This allowed comparisons to be made between the model and their invoice at various levels of detail, from tariffs to totals.
Significant levels of overbilling, in the measure of millions of pounds were identified by the models. Despite the tight deadlines, the project was delivered on time and on budget.
