Welcome everyone to the April edition of the DataConsulting newsletter!
Hopefully you will have all had a chance to grab a few days off over Easter allowing you to recharge your batteries and hopefully consume some chocolate. This edition covers a number of topics, the highlights of which are a feature on the incredibly useful ACL Direct Link which allows seamless access to SAP and a report on the successful London ACL User Group which continues to go from strength to strength.
I hope you enjoy our newsletter. If at any time you would like to meet up to discuss your data analytics strategy then please don’t hesitate to ask – and I always get the coffee!
Best Regards,
Robin

As the business management landscape shifts from a focus on recession survival tactics to growth strategies for economic recovery, the roles of internal audit and the chief audit executive (CAE) continue to grow.
Risk acumen is at the core of internal audit’s transformation. CAEs and their teams are now being asked to expand their more traditional assurance and consulting roles, and apply their business insights and audit expertise in key organization-wide initiatives, particularly those pertaining to fraud and risk management.
At the end of March DataConsulting attended the ACFE Fraud Conference in London, exhibiting alongside ACL. The two day conference saw speakers from across Europe and further afield sharing experience and thoughts about Fraud.
On 12th March DataConsulting attended the ACL London User Group meeting kindly hosted by Deloitte at their New Street Square offices. The User Group offers ACL users the opportunity to share experiences (good and bad) with their peers.
DataConsulting and 123Consulting, the days sponsors, provided insight into data analytics and process modelling, their respective areas of expertise, which gave the delegates food for thought about what could actually be achieved.
