The contest end date is fast approaching (31st July) and so far there have been some very exciting ACL execute scripts that have been entered in to the ACL Execute Command Contest! If you haven’t had the opportunity to look at these entries I would recommend to have a look at the Linkedin group, as the competition has been fierce with some excellent entries!
As promised in the June Newsletter the following are the DataConsulting entries so far:
1) OFAC Download
Download and import the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list from the US Department of the Treasury. This comes in the form of three delimited files that get downloaded using the BITS Admin tool (as an alternative to cURL). Once the files have download then the script joins the files together.

2) Currency Conversion
An ACL script that converts multiple currency transactions into a currency of your choice based on today’s exchange rates. The rates come from an RSS feed that gets parsed by a Python program. Prerequisites: 1) Python and 2) the feedparser Python Library.
